~ Episode 12 of SOUL EATER is now out! entitled "Courage that is not Lost to Fear ~Maka=Alban's One Large Determination?~".
Volume 3, Chapter 9 of Soul Eater Manga.
Short Summary: Soul reveals to Medusa that since his battle with Ragnarok, he has continuous nightmares featuring an imp-like creature and Maka. Medusa tells him not to worry, but deduces that it could be linked to Soul's body being infected by Ragnarok's blood. Meanwhile, Stein gives Black Star a cup with a mysterious liquid as part of his training to cope with Tsubaki's new abilities, but when Maka asks him to have a special training too, he states that there is still something she is missing, and must realize what it is first. Elsewhere in the city, Medusa gets cornered by Eruka Frog and Mizune, two other witches who suspect of her intentions, and decided that she is too dangerous to live. However, Medusa reveals to them that she previously had implanted magic snakes in their bodies and easily kills Mizune. Eruka manages to escape after Maka and her friends appear to investigate. After realizing that she must overcome her fears of having Soul hurt, Maka tells Stein that she finally discovered what she lacks, and Eruka is tracked down by Medusa, who orders her to infiltrate the witches' prison and release a dangerous convict from there, unless she wants to follow Mizune's fate. -TAKEN @ WIKI

~SOUL EATER! the anime adaptation of Atsushi Ookuboâ??s Soul Eater manga. The acclaimed BONES studio will be animating the â??cool & pop action fantasyâ?? that appears in Square Enixâ??s Monthly Shonen Gangan magazine.
The whole series has 51 episodes and running time is 24+ mins.
The Opening Theme will be performed by T.M.Revolution entitled resonance, 1st ED Theme will be performed by STANCE PUNKS entitled I Wanna Be & the 2nd ED Theme will be performed by Kana Nishino entitled Style.
Each episode will air in two different versions: the regular Monday 6:00 p.m. version and a Thursday late-night "Soul Eater Late Show" version with added special footage.

~SOUL EATER MANGAS! Here is the original Manga by Atsushi Ookubo.
The Soul Eater manga series started serialization in 2003 in the Japanese manga magazine Monthly Shonen Gangan published by Square Enix.
As of March 2008, eleven volumes have gone on sale in Japan and is still continuing.
The manga has been licensed by Yen Press for distribution in English in North America.
The manga will initially be serialized in Yen Press' Yen Plus anthology magazine, the first issue of which will go on sale on July 29, 2008. The first English volume of the manga will be sold in early 2009.
These mangas are Scanlations by different Scanlators/Manga Subbers.
Vols.1-4 scanlated by MANGA-RAIN.
Vols.5-10 scanlated by Mahou-X Scanlations. Vols. 11 & 12 are currently scanlated.

You know, animals usually tend to be nicer to the things they are about to eat. Remember what Sun Tzu said about deception:
Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer, strike into the heart of the matter by taking those that are closes to you down first while helping those furthest to you...
Btw - After watching episode 13, I have a TON of questions that I want answered throughout this series. One of the key ones is Free HAS TO COME BACK! I love that guy's personality! He's crazy funny. Also, what is going to happen to Soul now that he joined the devil? And what is happening to Maka to cause all her blood to turn into black blood?...But more importantly now that Soul and Maka are infected it seems they are now able to become the Demon God...but what will happen once they come to that part?...
I'm really curious to see what will become of this, since the series is still fresh we have a long way to go before any real solid answers come to us...(unless the manga already told you, but remember I didn't read the manga....)
Btw (again) - There is only one fansub company still doing soul eater atm that I know of (or should I say, that is up to date) and that's Tadashi. There not really a big name fansubber, but they doing an really good job on their animes. So if your looking for subbed versions, just look up [Tadashi] Soul Eater and you'll be able to find them.
Note - They are NOT listed on Animesuki or Baka-Updates, you will have to look for them elsewhere

Ah Vista...yea Vista is a picky system...
I never use the regular video player while in Vista. VLC works great on the odd formats (i.e ogg), while MPClassic works on the other stuff like mkv and avi.
"gazillion" codex...O_o Never heard of that one before, though I have had trouble with codex in the past, especially with mkv. For the standard anime format, avi/mp4 I just use the CCCP codex pack combined with the MPclassic. However with MKV, you usually have to dig around to find the latest updates for Haali Media Splitter and the ffdshow. Since the standard one has been outdated for years now. So far I have never been able to get MKV to work on Vista's standard Media Player w/ video playing, I've only had success with the audio playing on a black screen...so that's why I switched to MPclassic and VLC.

Omni put out his Summer 2008 preview. I personally prefer his list even though both blogs are connected. Most of the animes listed on the preview look like they have a fairly good chance of being blogged about, but who knows!
